Task

To modernize the air-conditioning system of the server room in the company's administrative building.

Design features

Step 1. Developed a technological solution based on accurate calculations
The server room contains 24 server racks. During day-and-night operation of the equipment, an excess of heat occurs, which increases the temperature in the room and exerts downward pressure on the equipment operation.
At the preliminary stage, the I-Climate specialists calculated the heat input into the room. Based on the results, it was decided to install three cabinet-type air conditioners Stulz ASR 451 A. For maximum system reliability, the project provides for N + 1 redundancy scheme, with the change of working and backup air conditioners once a day.

Step 2. Organized installation and commissioning works
We installed all the equipment, taking into account the specifics of the project, with strict adherence to the technological requirements and manufacturer's recommendations.

Step 3. Created a unified automated control system
The air conditioners were united into a single network using automated control and monitoring tools. The system was connected to the data transmission network on a PC. As a result, were provided:

• local and remote control of technological parameters;
• local control of ACS (air-conditioning system) units;
• automatic regulation of set parameters and equipment control;
• automatic shutdown of a faulty unit and inclusion of a reserve;
• emergency and pre-alarm signaling;
• registration of switching on and off equipment, failures and malfunctions in the operation.

Thus, the solution developed and implemented by "I-Climate" will allow to maintain steadily the optimal temperature and humidity level without constant maintenance requiring.
